A Vision from God

Freedom Worship Center, formerly known as Rock Church, was planted on February 10, 1996, under the guidance of Living Rock Church in Killingworth, Connecticut. This new congregation began with a mission to share the life-changing power of Jesus Christ and minister healing to the brokenhearted. Incorporated on March 12, 1997, the church has grown into a Spirit-filled, non-denominational body devoted to proclaiming the gospel and walking in God’s miraculous provision.
Jehovah-Jireh: Our Provider

On Sunday, February 9, 2001, God declared through His Word that He would reveal Himself as Jehovah-Jireh—the Lord our Provider—at the place of our sacrifice. Inspired by this promise, the congregation pledged over $50,000 that day toward building a house for the Lord. This act of faith began an incredible journey filled with undeniable miracles, confirming God’s faithfulness at every turn.
- Miracle #1: Securing the Land
The church was granted an opportunity to purchase five acres of prime commercial land, valued at $375,000, for $250,000. The seller graciously donated $125,000 of the value. - Miracle #2: Overcoming Obstacles
Initially deemed unbuildable due to wetlands, the land was cleared for construction three days after the Conservation Commission reversed its decision, following a word from Zechariah 4:6–7: “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit.” - Miracle #3: Divine Provision
God provided for every need, from free fill and excavation equipment to drastically reduced contractor costs. These provisions saved the church over $175,000, ensuring the project moved forward without financial burden.

A Ministry of Healing
Since 1999, Freedom Worship Center has embraced its prophetic calling as “missionaries to the broken.” This mission became foundational to the Healing Room ministry, launched in May 2003. A word given to Kim Ciottone affirmed its purpose: “It will be marked by love, by the true joy of the Spirit of God, and by compassion… by the reality of the resurrection life and power provided through the blood of Jesus Christ.” This ministry continues to transform lives, bringing restoration and freedom to those in need.
God Moved in Power Through Prayer

Throughout the church’s history, God came in power as the congregation sought His face in unity. Members often spent their spare time in impromptu prayer meetings, interceding fervently for the lost. The world’s distractions fell away as the body of Christ came together, united in purpose and passion for God’s will. These moments of collective prayer not only shaped the church’s foundation but also revealed God’s faithfulness in responding to the cries of His people.
As we move forward, this legacy of prayer remains at the heart of our mission. We believe that when we truly seek His face, God will continue to pour out His Spirit, breaking chains, healing lives, and drawing the lost into His kingdom. The same God who moved in power in the past will lead us into a future filled with His glory.

Looking Ahead with Faith

Freedom Worship Center is a testament to God’s faithfulness, serving as a beacon of hope for the broken and a house of worship for those seeking His presence. As we reflect on these milestones, we are reminded of Isaiah 61:1: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted.”
Our mission remains unchanged: to glorify Jesus Christ, minister healing through the power of the cross, and advance God’s kingdom. To God be the glory for what He has done—and for what He will continue to do in the coming generations!
